A man was stabbed with a knife in the early hours of Saturday morning, 2 March, in Phagameng.
He was taken to the FH Odendaal Hospital after the knife broke off inside his body, and is believed to still be in a critical condition. No-one was arrested. The case is being investigated.
After the body of a boy was discovered in an empty yard on Monday, 18 February, in Dipela Street in Phagameng, an inquisition was held and, according to the police, the cause of death appears to be throttling.
The police would like to talk to a family member of the deceased, Sollie Sithole, who might be helpful with the investigation.
Lizzy Seabutla, the wife of the man whose body was found in the Baipeing Section, on the pavement in front of his own yard on Sunday, 24 February, was accused of the murder of her husband.  The case has been postponed until Monday, 3 June, for further investigation.
She has been released on bail of R2 000.
