The Uniting Reformed Church in Bela-Bela and its neighbouring circuits will this year commemorate World Aids Day in style.

The church will be hosting its first ever run/walk event, in which members of the public were welcome to take part.

The race will take place on Saturday 1 December in the township in Bela-Bela.

The church’s Reverend Pheto Mosima said the race will be held to raise funds for a building project at the church, and also to commemorate World Aids Day.

The race will be held in two categories, namely 5km and 10km.

Both categories are meant for everyone and each and every participant will receive a medal for their participation.

Mosima said the first three runners to reach the final post would each receive a prize.

Entries will be open on Sunday 11 November 2018.
