Bishop Samson Makwarela, Phagameng, writes:

I wish to sincerely thank the police officers who assisted us after a break-in at our church, the Fraternal Full Gospel Church of Christ, in Phomolong, Extension 8.

When we arrived at the church on the Sunday morning at 09:45, we realised that thieves had gained entry to our office by breaking down a door. We called the police who arrived quickly and took statements. The fingerprint officers also arrived later during the day.

On the following Monday, two detectives and a constable brought two men to us that they arrested, as well as the items that were stolen from our church. They found the two keyboards, a stand and mixer, a generator, cordless microphones, connection cables and several tools that the men took. They even took food from the crèche we run on the premises.

I want to encourage the community to report incidents of crime immediately so that we can beat this problem. We need to fight this problem.
