Speedbumps were completed in Kirkman Street at Vaalwater on Friday, 28 July. The speedbumps will most definitely have a tremendous impact on the speed of behicles driving in this street.

The community of Vaalwater has a big smiles on the face after officials of the Vaalwater Municipal office, as well as workers of the Expanded Public Works programme (EPWP), reacted on a call for help and completed speedbumps on Friday, 28 July.

Kirkman Street at Vaalwater is a very busy road that leads to Laerskool Vaalwater, Klein5 Preprimary School, as well as to three churches.

“The community of Vaalwater is very proud of the officials from the municipal office and the EPWP as they decided to keep our children safe by adding two brand new speedbumps in Kirkman Street,” said Dalene Vermaak, a grandmother of two busy boys.

The speedbumps have been painted a bright white and yellow so drivers can easily notice them and this will definitely have a big impact on the speed of vehicles passing the school.
